These terms and conditions apply to the purchase and ordering of tattoos through inspirittattoo.no. Inspirit Tattoo AS acts as a facilitator for tattoos on behalf of the Tattoo Artist you book or purchase a tattoo from.
Definition of the parties
On Inspirittattoo.no, you can book tattoo services from the Tattoo Artists that Inspirit Tattoo facilitates tattoo services on behalf of. To place an order on inspirittattoo.no, you must accept the terms of this agreement and follow them in their entirety.
The terms and conditions, together with your order and order confirmation, will constitute the overall basis of the agreement for your order and purchase.
By confirming an agreement or receiving tattoo services from the seller, the customer confirms that they have understood and accepted our terms and conditions.
You must be 18 years of age or older to get a tattoo at Inspirit Tattoo. We reserve the right to request valid identification from the customer to confirm their age. We do not tattoo individuals under the age of 18, even with parental or guardian consent.
The customer must review, consent to, and sign Inspirit Tattoo’s Consent and Health Declaration form prior to the tattooing process. This form will be reviewed upon arrival at the appointment.
In the event of illness, the customer is obligated to cancel or reschedule the appointment as soon as they become aware of the symptoms (See 10. Cancellation and Changes to Tattoo Appointments).
Your appointment booking is binding once it is registered in our systems. At the same time, the tattoo artist is also bound by your appointment booking unless it is canceled by you, us, or the tattoo artist (see more about cancellations in point 10: Cancellation and Changes to Tattoo Appointments).
We confirm your appointment by sending you a confirmation for the appointment via SMS and/or email. Please carefully review the appointment confirmation when you receive it and verify that it aligns with your booking.
We reserve the right to cancel appointments due to illness, technical failures, and similar circumstances. We will notify you of such cancellations as soon as possible.
Inspirit Tattoo and/or the Tattoo Artist reserve the right to cancel the appointment if you attend the appointment with a fever or symptoms of an infectious disease. For tattoo appointments that we have to cancel due to such circumstances, you will be charged since you should understand the risk of contagion and that the appointment should have been canceled or rescheduled as soon as you became aware of the symptoms.
Inspirit Tattoo and/or the Tattoo Artist also reserve the right to cancel tattoo appointments if you attend the appointment under the influence of alcohol or other substances or if you consume substances prior to or during the tattoo session. This also applies if the execution of the tattoo poses a risk to your own or others’ health due to your condition. For tattoo appointments that have to be canceled due to such circumstances, you will be charged since you should understand that it may impact the execution of the tattoo and the associated risks.
We provide price estimates to our customers upon request, either via email or during a consultation with one of our tattoo artists. These estimates are based on various factors, including the size of the tattoo, the complexity of the design, and the time required to complete the tattoo session. We strive to provide accurate and realistic estimates to our customers. However, it is important to note that these estimates are only indicative, and the final price may vary depending on factors that may arise during the actual tattoo session, such as any changes or additional work requested by the customer during the session. We will always communicate any price changes clearly to the customer before proceeding with the work.
We will do our best to provide accurate and realistic estimates based on the size and complexity of the design, as well as the time required to complete the tattoo session. However, it is important to note that these estimates are only indicative, and the final price may vary depending on various factors that may arise during the actual tattoo session. However, we will always inform the customer of any price changes before starting or continuing with the work.
The prices listed for tattoo services on our website or in other communications should be considered as indicative. We reserve the right to change prices for tattoo services without prior notice. Changes in prices will not affect already agreed-upon contracts or bookings.
Additional work or changes to the design during the tattoo process may result in a change in price. We or the tattoo artist will always inform you of any price changes before proceeding with the work.
All prices are listed excluding VAT. (In cases where VAT is applicable to tattoos, this will be specified in the price estimate.)
The hourly rate is indicative and may vary in cases where, for example, multiple different tattoos are being done simultaneously. In such cases, there will be an additional cost that will be clarified in advance at the time of booking.
The starting price for the first hour is 1500 kroner.

For larger tattoo projects that require multiple sessions, we provide a indicative and non-binding price estimate for the project. The price estimate is based on the estimated number of sessions and the anticipated duration per session.
Tattoo projects are paid per session. We or the tattoo artist cannot guarantee that the actual number of sessions will align with the estimates provided in the price estimate. Any changes will be discussed with you.
Several factors determine the number of sessions needed, such as the complexity of the design, use of colors, size, if a large body area needs to be tattooed, it should be expected that multiple sessions will be necessary. Another factor is the duration of each session, which depends on the individual customer’s skin receptiveness to tattoo ink and their ability to tolerate pain and discomfort. Other factors that can influence the number of sessions include skin thickness and skin tone.
A full-day session typically lasts between 6 to 7 hours. The price for a full-day session is 8000 kr for black and white tattoos and 10,000 kr for colored tattoos. If a full-day session concludes earlier, you will be charged based on the actual duration of the session, but not less than 3 hours.
As long as the requirement for artistic originality is fulfilled under the Copyright Act, and the tattoo service is sold under the Tattoo Artist’s name, no value-added tax (VAT) is levied on tattoos. This type of transaction is exempt from VAT according to Section 3-7(4) of the Value Added Tax Act (mval.): “The artist’s own sales of their own artworks and the copyright to their own literary and artistic works are exempt from the law. The same applies to such sales through intermediaries in the artist’s name.”
For you as a customer, this means that you are purchasing from the Tattoo Artist, who is considered the contracting party, with Inspirit Tattoo acting as an intermediary. The relevant tattoo artist will be specified in the sales documentation for the tattoo services.
Any complaints regarding the artwork in such transactions are the responsibility of the Tattoo Artist. However, Inspirit Tattoo has an agreement with the artist and will assist the artist in relation to the buyer, so you only need to deal with Inspirit Tattoo.
A 25% VAT is calculated on tattoos that do not meet the requirement for artistic originality and/or are not sold under the Tattoo Artist’s name.
Payment for the tattoo service should be made immediately after the service is completed unless otherwise agreed between the parties.
The total amount can be settled through your choice of bank transfer, credit card, cash, or installment payments (Resurs account). If you choose installment payments (Resurs account) as the payment method, separate agreements must be made with Resurs Bank prior to the appointment.
Available account credit on the customer’s account can be used for payment of products and services. Please refer to point 15: Account Credit for more information.
When booking tattoo appointments, a non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the appointment. The deposit amount varies depending on the estimated price of the tattoo. For tattoos with an estimated price under 3000 kroner, the deposit is 500 kroner. For higher-priced tattoos, the deposit is 1000 kroner.
The deposit is credited to the customer’s account and will remain available for 12 months from the date of payment. In the event of cancellation after the deadline, failure to attend the appointment, or other breaches of the terms and conditions, the deposit will be deducted from the customer’s account.
One hour of tattooing is considered to be 50 minutes, and the tattoo artist is entitled to a 10-minute break per clock hour. These breaks can be taken separately or combined.
The time spent on design, stencil preparation, and setting up the workstation is included in the tattoo session.
We understand that changes and cancellations may be necessary from time to time, and we will do our best to accommodate your requests for changes and assist you in finding a suitable time for your tattoo.
The deadline for cancellations or changes to appointment bookings is 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. You will not be charged for appointments that are canceled or changed within this timeframe. Cancellations or changes made after the 48-hour deadline but at least 15 minutes before the appointment will incur a fee of 60% of the appointment price. Point 12: Failure to Attend Appointment applies to cancellations or changes made later than 15 minutes before the appointment.
We understand that unforeseen events can occur, and exceptions can be made in certain cases, such as illness. In case of illness, you must notify Inspirit Tattoo or the Tattoo Artist as soon as you become aware of the symptoms. In such cases, you will not be charged for the appointment, even if the cancellation is made after the 48-hour deadline. We reserve the right to request documentation of the illness.
Cancellations of appointments should only be made by using the cancellation form: https://www.inspirittattoo.no/cancellation/ or by contacting Inspirit Tattoo at 51 73 16 16 during opening hours. This is to be able to record the date and time when the cancellation was received.
The tattoo artist will wait for 15 minutes, and after this time, the customer will be considered a “no-show” and will not be entitled to the tattoo appointment (refer to point 12: Failure to Attend Appointment). If you have notified us in advance of your delay or inform us about the delay when we attempt to contact you, the tattoo artist will wait for up to 90 minutes if the appointment will not cause any waiting time for other customers. In this case, you will be charged for one tattoo session per each commenced hour the tattoo artist waits.
We understand that unforeseen events can occur, and you may not be able to attend the scheduled tattoo appointment. Therefore, we kindly ask you to notify us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule the appointment.
If you cancel or reschedule the appointment later than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time or fail to show up for the appointment without notice, you will be charged for the full appointment. This policy also applies if you arrive more than 15 minutes late to the appointment without prior notice, as stated in point 11: Late Arrival to the Appointment.
Please note that this policy is not a penalty but a necessary practice to cover the tattoo artist’s costs and lost income resulting from the missed appointment.
We encourage you to allocate sufficient time for the tattoo session and to notify us as soon as possible if you need to make any changes or cancel the appointment. We are here to assist you, and we want to ensure that you have the best possible experience when getting a tattoo with us.
It is possible to experience waiting time. If the waiting time exceeds 30 minutes, the tattoo artist should notify you in advance of the appointment. The tattoo artist should inform you about the expected duration of the wait. If the waiting time exceeds 60 minutes, you have the right to cancel the appointment without being charged for it. Alternatively, you can choose to reschedule the appointment unless you agree to the extended waiting time. You will not be charged for the time you spend waiting. Please note that time spent on designing the tattoo or preparing the workstation is not considered waiting time.
Unless otherwise agreed, the tattoo design is included in the price of the tattoo. The tattoo artist will have a draft ready for the tattoo appointment based on the information provided by the customer in the inquiry or during the consultation. Any changes will be made in collaboration with the customer during the tattoo appointment.
The tattoo artist does not send designs to customers in advance unless it has been agreed upon beforehand.
The design created by the tattoo artist is protected by copyright law, and the tattoo artist is the author of the design. The customer does not have the right to copy, distribute, or otherwise use the design without written permission from the tattoo artist.
Account credit refers to funds made available in a customer’s account.

Inspirit Tattoo or the Tattoo Artist shall not be held liable for any delay, hindrance, damage, or loss arising from a force majeure event beyond the control of Inspirit Tattoo or the Tattoo Artist. Such events may include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, pandemics, war, strikes, government decisions, or other unforeseen events beyond the control of Inspirit Tattoo or the Tattoo Artist.
If a force majeure event occurs, Inspirit Tattoo and/or the Tattoo Artist shall inform the customer as soon as possible about the situation and the impact it will have on the agreement. Inspirit Tattoo and/or the Tattoo Artist shall also make their best efforts to find a solution that minimizes the delay or damage to the customer.
If a force majeure event lasts for more than 30 days, both the tattoo artist and the customer have the right to terminate the agreement without liability to either party. Any amounts already paid by the customer but not utilized for tattoo services will be credited to the customer’s account within a reasonable time after the agreement is terminated. A force majeure event does not trigger refund rights for the deposited amount.
Disputes regarding the terms and related provisions, as well as disputes concerning appointment bookings, cancellations after the deadline, and failure to attend appointments, shall be governed by Norwegian law and fall under the jurisdiction of ordinary dispute resolution bodies and courts, with Stavanger District Court as the venue for any proceedings before a district court.
